Ang Babae Sa Septic Tank is an indie film which happens to mock other indie films (!) It shows us a glimpse of the supposedly offbeat and unorthodox way of film-making in the indie scene that, unfortunately, has become formulaic in order to attract international award-giving film festivals. The film, directed by Marlon Rivera, bagged several awards including Best Director, Best Actress and Best Picture in the New Breed Full Length Feature category of the 7th Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival and Competition.
